Netcare recognised in the 2017/2018 Ask Afrika Orange Index service excellence awards
Netcare’s commitment to consistent quality in service delivery across its national hospital network has been recognised in the 2017/2018 Ask Afrika Orange Index service excellence awards.
Netcare was presented with the Orange Index Award in the Private Hospitals category for the second consecutive year at the Ask Afrika Orange Index awards held in Johannesburg on Wednesday, 25 October.
“This award is truly gratifying as it is an indication that our commitment to placing our patients at the centre of everything we do and consistently striving to live the Netcare values of care, truth, dignity, participation and passion is having the desired effect,” says Jacques du Plessis, managing director of Netcare’s hospital division.
The Ask Afrika Orange Index this year surveyed and measured customer satisfaction levels of 169 companies across 32 industries. Now in its 16th year, the awards draw from extensive consumer research measuring a wide range of factors to develop the annual Index.
“We continuously aim to enhance our service to patients, and all Netcare facilities have adopted a multi-dimensional quality framework covering over 300 quality measures to ensure consistency and international best practice in clinical care and patient experience,” Du Plessis notes.
“We value every engagement with and feedback from our patients and their families as these allow us to gain a better understanding of their needs and how we can align our processes to better address them.
“The recognition through the Ask Afrika Orange Index survey is dedicated to our staff, management and the healthcare professionals at our hospitals. It is their on-going commitment to caring for our patients with professionalism and compassion every day that has earned this award,” Du Plessis concluded.
