Netcare distances itself from anti-Gaza comments
‘Inhumane views at odds with core values’
On Wednesday, 6 December 2023, the Netcare Group was alerted to highly inflammatory personal views posted by Winston Mullany on social media.
The individual is not an employee of Netcare or Netcare 911, and never has been. He attended a three-month Ambulance Emergency Assistance course at the Netcare Group’s training academy in 2016, the healthcare group confirmed today.
“Netcare Group would like to place on record that the individual who has previously posted photos of himself in Netcare branded clothing and posing next to a Netcare 911 ambulance is not employed by Netcare,” says Netcare Group spokesperson Lynne O’Connor.
“The uninformed and inhumane views the individual expressed are completely at odds with our core values of upholding the sanctity of human life,” she says.
“We have attempted to reach out directly to Mr Mullany and have reported his comment to Facebook. We are also considering our legal options.”
