The PMR.africa KwaZulu-Natal Business Excellence Awards Breakfast took place on Friday, 20 October, in Durban. The awards are the culmination of a research process whereby companies and institutions are rated according to a number of criteria which include those that have done the most to enhance the economic growth and development of KwaZulu-Natal, levels of managerial expertise, implementation of corporate governance, brand awareness, and levels of innovation.

The general manager of Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital, Heinrich Venter, said it was a great honour to be recognised as the top private hospital in KwaZulu-Natal in the PMR.africa rankings, and thanked the community for their support over the years.

“This award is evidence that our team’s on-going dedication is making a difference and this recognition motivates us to keep improving our service offering. We thank our staff and the healthcare professionals who practise at our hospital for their role in securing this accolade,” Venter adds.

“We thank our patients and their families for turning to Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital for their healthcare needs time and again. This strong community backing has also seen our hospital being voted best hospital in the Daily News ‘Your Choice 2017’ awards for the ninth consecutive year recently, and we are deeply honoured to receive recognition in both of these instances,” he concludes.
