About the procedure
With ganglion removal surgery, a small, fluid-filled sac (cyst) is removed from your hand, wrist, foot or ankle through a small incision or by draining the fluid with a needle and syringe. The surgery is a day procedure, so you don’t have to stay in hospital overnight.
